OUR FACILITIES

 

 

 We are manufacturing of edible bird nest and preparing infrastructure facilities and the guide of Good Veterinary Hygienic Practices in the production line. 

 

 The process of cleaning edible bird nest is including soaking, wetting, dampening, removal of impurities from edible bird nest to acquire quality and safe product. Identify the essential principles of GVHP applicable within the food establishment including incoming materials through to the customer, to achieve the goal of ensuring that product is safe and suitable for human consumption. The product’s labelling ensures that consumers have clear and easily-understood information; enable to protect the products is guarantee.

 

 This Guideline was developed by team of scientist and technical experts from more than 20 government agencies and private institutions or associations. The aspect of regulating the processing of the edible bird nest was developed with the cooperation from the Department of Standards which described the aspect of planning of processing plant that fulfilled the requirement to obtain recognition of Good Manufacturing Practices for both raw cleaned and un-cleaned edible bird nest. All ranching premises and processing plants were registered under the DVS that monitor their compliance in all aspect of their operation to meet the accepted GAHP and GMP standards.

 

 The standard was first developed in 2005 and improved in 2007 along with GAHP Standard by the Working Group on edible bird nest Swiftlets Ranching under the authority of the Industry Standard Committee on Agriculture. The current version of the manual was published in 2010 which described all aspects of planning, construction, instrumentation, processing and quality control operation and maintenance of the premise that meet the objective of food safety and sustainable industry.

 

 The manual provides accurate descriptions of edible bird nest produced by swiftlet ranching for both raw un-cleaned and raw cleaned nests. It also stipulates the quality and authenticity requirement for the raw edible bird nest from the perspectives of microbial load/contamination, nutritional content (protein, minerals, moisture) and contamination from heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium and other metals under the control of Ministry of Health, Malaysia (Food Act 1985 and Food Regulation 1985) and residue (particularly nitrites (NO2) and nitrate).
